P902-Legionella Management & Control of Evaporative Cooling / High Risk Systems

Legionella P902 Course

Duration: 1 day

Following on from the P901 course, this module provides a background and an overview of the risk of Legionella infection in evaporative cooling and other high risk type systems. On successful completion the delegate will be able to demonstrate management and control in:

  • Identifying the common options for heat rejection devices.
  • Demonstrating an understanding of the basic principle of open evaporative cooling, drift eliminators and cooling tower.
  • Outlining the principles of a Legionella control regime, including the key elements of chemical treatment and control, biocides and the hardness cycle.

Qualifications for both BOHS P901 and P902 courses: Both P901 and P902 courses contain a multiple-choice examination and successful delegates are presented with the BOHS proficiency certificate.

Delegates on the P902 are additionally required to provide evidence of field proficiency and to submit one report within 3 months of passing the written examination.
