Legionella P901 Course

Duration: 1 day

Who should attend: Those responsible for ensuring the risk of legionella infection and how exposure is minimised.

Summary: The module provides a background and overview of the risk of legionella infection and how it can be controlled in domestic type hot and cold water systems. This course is a pre-requirement before undertaking the P902 course -management and control of evaporative cooling systems and other high risk systems.

Qualification: On successful completion delegates will be able to demonstrate management and control in:

  • Knowledge of the origins of legionella.
  • Identification of the main conditions that need to coincide for legionella infection to take place.
  • Awareness of legal requirements, and implementation of legionella control regimes.
