Who should attend: Those responsible for the monitoring of domestic water systems and who will benefit from the practical elements of this training course.

Summary: This module provides a basic knowledge of the origins of Legionella and the multiplication factors which allow it to proliferate in man made water systems, awareness of legal requirements, approved codes of practice and best practice in the control of Legionella and provides the basis of competence of operatives and undertaking monitoring of domestic water systems.

Qualification: On successful completion delegates will be able to demonstrate practical skills in:

  • The monitoring of domestic water systems and how to practically undertake and record water temperature monitoring in a range of water outlets and installations.
  • How to interpret water monitoring data, and record keeping.
