Duty to Manage Asbestos

Duration: ½ day or 1 day
Who should attend: Duty holders or those who have managerial/contractual responsibility for the safe management of asbestos in buildings.
Summary: This course covers a general introduction to asbestos, its health effects and background legislative requirements. It then provides detail on the practical measures required under an asbestos management plan as defined under regulation 4 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006, giving practical examples of how duty holders can comply with the regulations.
The course can be tailored to an individual company with prior notice and can even incorporate specific training related to any known asbestos products that may be present on your site. This information would have to be provided to our trainers in advance of the course.
Qualification: Successful completion of the course will equip delegates with a thorough understanding of the elements that make up a comprehensive asbestos management plan and enable them to make informed decisions in terms of establishing and maintaining asbestos management procedures. Delegates will receive a certificate of achievement and attendance.
