Risk Management

Risk Management is an important step in protecting workers and business as well as complying with law; it helps focus on the risk that matters in the workplace. The aim is to protect people to what is "reasonably practicable"

Occupational Hygiene is often described as the recognition, evaluation and control of chemical, physical and biological agents arising from workplace activity. Understanding the presence of these agents within the workplace may affect the health of employees and in turn that of the business.

Therefore:

  • Recognition - identifying possible hazards within the workplace, arising from processes, substances and activities
  • Evaluation - on site monitoring in order to evaluate and assess any given substance, process or activity, with measurements/samples taken and analysed. This is followed by the production of an interpretive report detailing observations, findings and referencing relevant current legislation.
  • Control - recommendations will be made where necessary with advice on possible control measures, safer working practise, personal protective equipment and if/when required re-assessment.
