Lead
Surveyors
The
work will involve working as a lead Asbestos Surveyor to undertake surveys
you will follow our UKAS quality standards and ensure you comply with
current legislation whilst working in the field.
To
be considered for a lead / senior asbestos surveyor you should have your
S301, P402 and have the asbestos oral exam or be eligible to take your
oral exam. At least 12 months in a similar position. Ideally be trained
in air monitoring, but this is not essential.

addition to undertaking site works in various locations in the UK,
you will also be expected to be involved with all aspects of asbestos
consultancy as follows: |
| 1. |
Developing
through practical training the asbestos assistant surveyors. |
| 2. |
Writing
Specifications for asbestos removal projects. |
| 3. |
Project
Managing asbestos removal contractors. |
| 4. |
Project Managing asbestos surveys large projects e.g. local authority,
retail chains. |
| 5. |
Demonstrate self-motivation and be able to use your own initiative. |
| 6. |
Feel
comfortable in being able to represent one of our clients around
a table in conference with third parties e.g. HSE, Local authority,
Architects etc. |
| 7. |
Promote
AEC’s new asbestos management system via our Sales Department. |
You
will need to be flexible in your approach to work and willing to work
weekends/nights and spend time away from home.
You
need to have a personable and team working attitude to work as part of
the site team, coupled with eagerness and willingness to learn.
AEC would
be interested in offering students placements over the summer and as part
of a sandwich course.
