ASBESTOS & ASBESTOS WASTE

The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2006.

These regulations place a duty on employers to control exposure of their employees to asbestos, requiring assessment, control systems, training etc. they set in place the concepts of control limits and action levels. These are levels, respectively, below which exposure must be kept and at which certain other regulations apply e.g. The need for medical surveillance. These regulations have superseded the previous Control of Asbestos at Work regulations, the Asbestos (Licensing) Regulations (ASLIC) and the Asbestos (Prohibition) Regulations.
