a-SURE
– strategic management plan for asbestos
Many
people are planning to meet their legal obligations by 21st May 2004 and
are faced with creating an asbestos management plan to meet the changes
to the CAW regulations.
Asbestos
surveys and registers are the first step towards your management plan
and allow you to build upon the information that they provide.
The
major change to the CAW regulations carries implications for the ‘dutyholder’
and this is explicitly explained in regulation 4. The dutyholder now has
to prepare and implement plans and manage the risks from such asbestos
and also to provide information to anyone liable to come into contact
with asbestos.
The
asbestos survey and register provides you with a view as to what is happening
at any given time, you then need to take this information and create your
management plan.
a-SURE
provides you with the framework of a strategic management plan and the
benefits can be seen below:

idea behind the a-SURE Management Plan |
