Mandy's Charity Swim

Mandy's Charity Swim
Date: 02 Sep 2010

Mandy Reid, one of AEC's Directors, swam the channel relay (Dover - France) during the early hours of Tuesday 1st September to raise money for "Prostate Cancer".

The relay team swam a time of 14 hours, 4 minutes and 40 seconds. With Mandy, were the other members of the relay team - Andy Sheratt, Sarah Beresford, Jennifer Carter and Julie Trevor.

Mandy said 'The greates enjoyment for me was getting in the water and swimming in the channel, although it was dark and cold.' Asked whether she would swim solo, Mandy commented 'Let's just say I'm thinking about it!'

If you haven't already visited Mandy's Just giving site it will be open until end of October for donations and Mandy will be updating the site shortly with photos and pictures of the swim. Thanks for everyone's generosity so far it's for a great cause for Prostate Cancer.
